When can I handle my corn?

Hi everybody, 2 days ago, I got my first corn snake, who is a charcoal tessera, and is very beautiful. She is currently kept in a rather large faunarium for the time being, and I fed her the day she got home. 48 hours have passed, and I've added in a few things, she now has some more structures to climb in, along with a new hide and a burrowing spot with deep coco husk, and there's really only one area she can go with her knowing she's exposed. I wanted to know when I can handle her, as I have twice before she was fed. I let 48 hours pass, and now I am excited to handle her, but she's less than tolerant to this idea. Does she just need to adapt for a few days, should I wait until night? Is it my hesitation/shaking, or her personality? The last time I merely touched the middle area of her body, and she rattled her tail, and looked as if she would not hesitate to strike. Any response is appreciated as I want a calm corn snake who can be held for at least 20 minutes without getting too flighty. Also, she is almost one year old. Thank you!

With snakes, I always give them 2 days in their new home before I try to handle or feed. Even if I am taking a snake out of the cage to clean it, I still give them 2 days. Snakes stress easily and are sometime best left alone. I would give her a few days to get used to her surroundings. Also, when picking up any snake, slowly put the flattened palm of your hand over its head. This will give the snake a second to get your scent and temperature.

Thanks for the reply! Actually, a night or so after posting this, I held her, and she is one of my calmest animals to date!
