Im looking to get a hnadful shipped in mid 20s(im picking them up as soona s they arrive) and im trying to figure out if its going to be warm enough or not. All the sites say differnt temps(ofcourse) as does the news. So my question is. What sites/weather stations do you trust with givig you good accurate weather forcasts? And do you think its safe? its gonna be 26F and I will be picking them up at the building(the buildings literally a 2 minute drive if that from the air port).
When deciding wiether to ship or not in cooler weather...

I go with weather.com all the time. They have a section where they break down the day's forecast into hourly or even 15 minute segments. I use it when I travel to see exactly when it's gonna snow.
As for your shipping question... I have no idea. I would guess that if the critters had a proper heating pack, it shouldn't be too bad. The only way I would be able to give you a definite answer is if I did some tests. Buy a bunch of heating packs and box them up with a thermometer probe inside and record how long it stays warm enough and what outside temp makes it not warm enough.

Weather.com is fine but around here they usually have the lows a little colder that they ever are. So Id wait until it hits 30 or 32.
There was 1 day here in NJ that was supposed to be 33 low and 44 high, and I was planning on a shipment on that particular day. I paid more for a double box and heat pack between the boxes, b/c I was nervous about 33! The breeder misunderstood the date, (which I was very specific) and I got the box on a day that was 21 degrees and we had a sleet and snow storm! I was in shock when the box came! Almost afraid to open it... but my little baby was alive and warm inside

My biggest concern would be a carrier mishap. If a sudden front moves thru and grounds all the planes... Personally, I would just be patient and wait a month or two until spring. Most breeders will hold an animal with a reasonable deposit for an agreed upon time.
Its suppose to be sunny them days~ No snow(yay!) there is snow on the ground. This will be the only chance till april>.< They've been on hold since dec.....so they have held them for 2 months already. I hate to make them keep them at long more.
Why do you feel bad...you shouldn't. I was just totally excited, and checked the weather for a month before I saw temps above freezing. I wanted (him/her) home so badly, so I told her double box with heat pack, and Id pay extra b/c it was worth it to me to see her grow up.

Well ofcourse i want them too! 8 of them! There enigmas toos o there changing all the time and im missing it>.< Ive been watching too lol the minute i seen it was gonna be mid 20s(the temps they felt comfortable with) i emailed them
ended up with 3 more then i had oringally planned. This is gonna be the only break in weather till march. Its gonna be warmer on thurseday/friday. Can they still be shipped? Im waiting on the replay about the double boxing and such;D dont see why itd be to much of a problem.Visit our friends
