When they Make You Smile

I really just have to rave about all the nice people out there who can bring a smile to your face. For me that person is my boyfriend. Not only has he been my best friend for well over four years, but he has always been there when I needed to be cheered up. For example:

Yesterday I not only received a grade print out that said I was failing a class, but I also found out that as us Sunday I will be unemployed (business owner is selling off the store, the new owner has no interest in the old workers). In other words, it was a not so pleasant day.

My boyfriend was talking me on the phone, when suddenly he begins telling leopard gecko morph jokes.

"What do you call a Creamsicle x Enigma?" (him)

"Not sure." (me)

"A Dreeeeam-sicle!"

Needless to say I didn't know whether to laugh at him or the fact he came up with a morph joke.

I forgot the rest of them... But I even started my own!

"What do you call a Creamsicle x Blizzard?" (me)

"What?" (him)

"A creamy blizzard!"

"Now I see why you call them Super Hypo Macks... It's to prevent confusion with delicious ice-cream."

I honestly just love moments like that where all the crap of the day can just melt away in an instant. In the end I love smiling, laughing, and knowing that there are better things in life to focus upon. Like crappy morph jokes!!

But really, I'm grateful for the people who remind me that life doesn't have to be doom and gloom (even in the bad times).

Sorry, just had to let out the happiness and what not!

Sorry to hear about your negative day. I want you to know that you are truely blessed to have a person in your life that cares enough to cheer you up when you are down. Some of us have search high and low for a person like that and thankfully I found mine

Awww! That's so sweet that he can cheer you up! That's one thing I love about Matt. He's also my best friend and he's the only person I know that can get me out of a bad mood. So I totally get where you're coming from. And Matt's also goofy about coming up with jokes like that.

It sure is nice to know that there are guys out there that treat their gfs wonderful!

Sorry to hear about the bad stuff. But, I have learned that bad things are what help strengthen us and give us experience. And, I've also learned that things that we think are bad, lead to great situations. Like for example:

I was going to go to a University in Florida and I didn't get accepted, but Matt did. And I thought we were going to have a horrible time getting to see each other. Turns out, I ended up going to a community college right next to his university. And he hated the university after the first term and transferred back to the community college in our area, and I transferred there too. But I got to spend lots of extra time with him. So it was awesome!
