when to handle/tame?

I have a juvenile that I've had for about 1 week. When is it ok to begin handling him/her? And, what's the best way to go about it?

now and just be gental and as quite as possible

i got a new leo yesterday and im already handling her but thats because i no what im doin and shes calm and doesnt scream or try n run off

For new geckos, I would let it see you first. If it doesn't run away and hide due to your presence, you can SLOWLY put a hand in his tank and be patience. If it doesn't come near on the first day, try again the next day until it voluntarily walk on your palm.

Sounds good. it doesn't come near me...but it doesn't take off hiding when I'm around either. I'll continue to just put my hand in the tank and see if it will come to me then. Thanks.
