When to pull the eggs.......

I have two female leopards housed with one male. One of the females laid eggs this past Saturday. The other female is in the process of laying her eggs now. My questions are:

1. Do the eggs normally come out soft, or hard?

2. How long do I wait to take the eggs out of the moist hide?

Any insight that any of you have would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

the eggs come out soft then gradually 'harden' til they feel like stale marshmallows ;)

2. How long do I wait to take the eggs out of the moist hide?
I usually wait until the female has finished burying them and has wandered off ~ others may do it differently

Thank you both for the advice. Since this was the first set eggs being laid I was kinda unsure. I found this site last night and love it. It provides lots of usefull information and advice.

Thanks again!

I take them out when I see them. If I know a female is getting ready to lay, I check in the am and pm. Otherwise, I just check for eggs every morning.

I take the eggs ASAP, sometimes even picking up the female to get them.. it's actually easier to get them when they are still soft.. once they harden, they can stick to the surface they are laid on, making it more difficult to remove them. Good luck with your eggs! and welcome to GF :D
