When?

My female has been laying infertile eggs. This is her third clutch. She had them yesterday morning. I want to put the male in with her so they can mate, but when is the best time to put him in? How do I know when she will be ovulating? How long does that usually happen after laying eggs? Any information would be great. Thank you.

I would put the male in now. Felicia has a great picture of an ovulating female which can be seen here.

Once she starts to even have a little puff, put him in.

do it now since she is laying, but watch, she might not be receptive,and she could fight him. you could wach it happen instently, then take her out, and she will be fertile. mating could happen right a way.
