Where to put the heat sensor...

Where in the incubator should I have the heat sensor for the thermostat. Right on the heat source or taped on the side somewhere?

It really does depend on your setup, but mine's right on the heat tape.

yeah...Probably should have included that the first time.

It's a styro-foam cooler with a heat mat in the bottom, hooked up to a thermostat.

It's safe even with a heat mat. I'd put it either on the heat mat or on your heat sink, if you're using one.
