What a healthy looking gecko! So where do you get hoppers instead of crickets? Are you in the USA? Love your tank set-up, but I would be the "worried mom" over the loose substrate and possible impaction. Thanks for sharing the pics...is your leo a patternless or blizzard? I have one that looks similar and mine is a patternless, but I am just learning about the different morphs.

Thanks

Thanks all... As the Gecko is an Adult have tried a lot of different set-ups...this one is easy to maintain...its Zoo Med's 'Eco Earth Brick' place one brick in warm water and allow to expand for 20 minutes, was enough for the whole set-up, the hide is filled with moist Sphagnum Moss sits directly on top of the heatmat, hence the heat sensor direct beside the hide...use a mist spray 3/4 time a week as the substrate dries out very quickly...but kept moist is great for humidity (never a problem with shedding)...If yer planning to use this stuff suggest, firmly pack the first layer (1/2 inch) allow to dry out about 80%... mist spray firmly pack again.. allow to dry out about 80% again, then hover (lightly) the loose small fibres of the top layer and continue mist spray 3/4 time a week...can be easily re-used or recycled...one thing to watch for is adult crickets luv this stuff and will lay eggs, although most will be eaten by the adult male's be prepared for a few batch's of baby crickets!...to avoid this remove substrate 6/8 weeks and moisten with warn-hot water this kills the eggs!...then re-use...we prefer the baby crick's...Do remember loose substrates can cause impacted gut best to monitor the progress when the substrate and set-up is changed...best luck !

@curiousKathy...don't laugh livin in Belfast 'Ireland' where the hoppers are plentiful...:main_thumbsup:

Really great looking Leo. I use the Eco Earth as well but I have slate covering most of it. I am curious though, what plant are you using in there with them? I have been trying to find a Leo friendly plants for my setup.
