Am I missing something?..

I have 0.3 bb's, stark white, I mean REALLY white, not a trace of yellow or ct anywhere, 2 of them have solid red eyes, and the third has snake eyes.

After checking out a few things, and reading on a certain website about the "diablo blanco" morph, it tells me that there are NO BB's with ruby eyes!?!?!?!?

Now I have not EVER seen any other bb's with solid ruby eyes, but I can't imagine that there aren't any others out there.

can any one shed light on this for me?

what would be the best match to breed tihs too other than another BB, or DB,

How would I test breed this, with a BB?

thanks, D

sorry for the less than stellar pics, the one pic looks like the bb has black eyes, they are truely red!

I believe thet the parents were BB's also, I think 2 of these girls are full siblings and 1 is half, if I remember correctly, and they had the same eyes as well.

If they have no history of ECLIPSE gene from-RAPTOR blood'etc they deffo aren't T_albino eclipse blizzards-(DB's).They would be stunning examples of T_albino FALSE eclipse blizzards.False eclipse eye trait is fairly common in blizzards and seems fairly random in poping up.Unlike eclipse from RAPTOR line that's recessive or deffo act like.False eclipse can't be passed onto any morph is seems selective to blizzards seems to pass onto mack snow possibly ??enigmas??.Unlike TRUE eclipse any morph can inherit this trait the normal recessive way.

T_ALBINO FALSE ECLIPSE...shades are.Deep maroon red look near black.Or a regular dark marron red.

T_ALBINO ECLIPSE...Shades seen in RAPTOR's/DB's.Deep marron red looks near black.Or a regular maroon red.And a scarlet red ruby colour.

T_albino false eclipse blizzard...
Redder example.

Well, then that sounds like they are "false" eclipse?

I got them from Dan @ hotgeckos, I don't believe he mentioned that there was anything BUT BB blood working there.

well, I have plans to pair them with my MSSTA, he has black eyes, not red like I've seen, I thought it would be cool to see what phenotype that would produce!

If any ones got better suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

They do exist,
I have them too,
especially when you mix mack snows with blazing blizzards, about half of the babies will have solid eyes.
I think you should breed those females to Mack Blizzard het Albinos or Mack Blazing Blizzard so you can get as much white as possible. Let me know if you need a male.

Do you have pics of any of these kids? ( your red eyed BB's?)
I'd love to see them!

Have you done the BB's with red eyes to a MSSTA?... what was your outcome?

ALL?
are you serious?

well thats not much fun!
I was hoping for more variety...lol

I guess I could take THOSE offspring and breed them together next yr for more variety?

I like the idea of the mack with solid eyes, I was hoping to get offspring with solid black or red eyes, and ad the mack in there.

hmmm, back to the drawing board......LOL

and YES PLEASE to the pics!

Technically, they are all red, even the 'black' ones--they are just more saturated/dense, and therefore appear black. There are alot of black and red eyed blazings out there these days--and like Tremper's Eclipse, the eyes can vary from gecko to gecko. Genetically, some are lighter, and some are darker. But incubation and rearing temps also effect exactly how red the eyes appear. You can make "black" eyed Raptors by incubating low and then keeping them cool. Just like you can make red eyed Blazings, by breeding the lightest eyed parents together, and then incubating hot, and then keep them in an extra warm environment. It's a product of BOTH nature and nurture :D
