White specks on skin??

Hi

I got my new little girl on Thursday, shes a normal and a sweet little thing

She's eating really well, bit of a piggy compared to my male Pooped yesterday and all seemed fine.

Shes been spending quite a lot of time in her moist hide that contains moss.

The morning after i got her, after she'd been sleeping in her moist hide, i noticed lots of little white specs on her skin.

Theyre not moving so i dont think theyre mites but im just curious as to what they could be. Could they just be out of the moss or something else?

I think even if i took pictures they would be too small to see on my crappy camera. Theyre just tiny little white specks.

I took some pictures of her today and managed to get one where u can see the specs.

I rubbed her skin a little with a wet paper towel and they didnt come off and there was nothing crawling on the paper towel to indicate mites.

It almost looks like she has dandruff :main_huh:

It's residual dry skin from a shed. As long as it's not bothering her, and not in bad places (nose, toes, eyelids, etc) then it should be just fine. Just continue providing her a moist hide when she's shedding
