white substance on male crested gecko

Today while handling my male crested gecko I noticed a strange white substance right above his bulge thing. The substance strongly resembled seamen and he when I set him back in his cage he started licking / eating it. I'm really curious as to what that was so if anyone has any information that would be great

It may have been semen.

My male cresty "gets off" all the time on his own, and he always licks it up. Pretty disgusting, but what can you do...

You may have caught him in the act and he didn't have time to clean up. :main_laugh:

Probably was exactly what you thought. They can be randy little things, apparently. Nothing to be worried about, and they clean themselves.
