Hey everyone, I need some help and advice. Nameless has been doing great and has a 35 gal. turtle tank, well cleaned (I did not use bleach or other harsh cleaners) and he is eating tons of yummy gut loaded crix, But about 5 of his spots are whitish, sort of a milky, translucent color. Does anyone know why it could be like this or what is the issue?

Worried,

It's just his special spotting.

I'm going to put this as delicately and politely as I can. I'm a bit limited in that area though.

  • You haven't seen the gecko in person.
  • You haven't performed any tests, taken any samples.
  • You haven't even seen a photo.
  • You didn't ask what conditions the animal is being kept in.
  • You do not know if it is showing any other symptoms.
  • You are not a veterinarian.
  • You do not have an extensive education in any adjacent fields of expertise.
  • You are not even an experienced, veteran pet owner.
  • You did not ask any questions to clarify the subjective description you were given.
  • You do not know how educated or experienced the person providing that description is.
  • You are not remotely qualified to say what these spots are or are not.
  • Furthermore, even if you were qualified, you still did not have enough information to do so with any degree of certainty.
  • Your post was wildly inappropriate, misleading and potentially dangerous.

Please do not ever make another like it. Here, or in any similar threads, especially in the Health and Medication Subforum, at any point in the future. It was not helpful. It was not okay.
