Why did she die

...My rose hair died the other day. I had watched her moving around that morning, and then she found a spot and stayed still. Thought nothing of it because she always did that. Well later that night a friend came over and wanted to hold her so I went to get her out and she was dead. Also I posted a month ago or so about her foot being broken...well it came off a week or more ago and there were no liquids or nothing it seemed all was good. But the day I found her dead her whole leg was gone??

Im really curious as to what could be the cause of death? Why would she drop her leg like that?

Please..it was my first spider and the only spider iv ever liked...

I'm so sorry about your spider... :(
I didn't read your post about the leg breaking off, but that happened to my male P. irminia a week before he passed away. So...maybe your spider was a mature male and had just had his final molt before you purchased him. Either way, don't get discouraged. These are wonderful creatures to own...you can always contact a reputable breeder and buy a guaranteed female in the future. :main_thumbsup:

look really close and see if you notice any really small crickets. If a pregnant female cricket got in there and had babies the babies could eat your Tarantula. I had a full grown Rose Hair loose a foot that way. Sorry for your loss. :(
