Why is she doing this?

My leopard gecko went to the cold side of her viv and did this. (sorry it's portrait)
IMG_0142.jpg I think she's doing it because it is too hot. I took her out and let her cool off while I added more eco-earth. I'm going to wait before I turn the UTH back on because the substrate is a little damp and will make it really hot on the UTH. Is that why she's doing it?

In the hot hide it was about 100 degrees Fahrenheit which I know is too hot and cool side was 79. I added more eco-earth so it would cool off.

The only thing that worries me, is the fact that she could dig up the eco earth, and possibly get burned. I would suggest controlling the UTH temps with a thermostat.
