Why?

I have noticed a lot of my mealworm beetles have dents in their bodies or their wings are split. why is this? i have them on a mixture of oats and the bran they come in. i also feed them carrots every few days. thanks in advance.

I don't think you'll have any probs with the dented ones. Perhaps they became that away when they became a beetle and they were still soft. I noticed some of mine had dents in them today but they were still breeding fine. Sometimes you will end up with alot of deformed beetles which will die off early. Ill try to do some research tonight and see if there is any explanation
