Will baby leopard geckos frighten easily and drop their tails when you first handle ?

Will baby leopard geckos frighten easily and drop their tails when you first handle them? I dont want to get a baby leopard and handle it after a week when its used to everything and its tail drops off. Thanks in advance for replies. :-D

I have ever only had one drop its tail and it was about a week old at the time and i startled it when opening the box.

As long as you handle them carefully nothing should happen - Its never easy to say why the feel threatened in certain situations.

I have 11 baby geckos at home, the most they do for me is scream when I open the container. I do how ever open the container slowly and when I have to handle them it is gentle and slow. I have yet to have one drop it's tail.

I've never had one drop it's tail from from fright..

They do scream though and sometimes lunge..
