will my gecko get spots?

i bought a gecko from the pet store (cause i couldnt wait until the ones i ordered come in on tuesday) and it was sold as a "normal." it is black and yellow, looks banded and really has no spots.. so my question is, as it gets older, will it get spots? i really like the way it looks now, but im sure it will change over time... thanks..

yours will probably look yellow with some black spotting

Yep, those dark bands will spread into spots over the coming months. My boy is a high yellow with lots of spots; he looked exactly as you described when he was a juvie.
