Hello everyone,

i have all my leopard geckos in tanks with heat lamps right now. I am hoping to get another leopard gecko soon but he or she would go in a tub. to heat this tub i would use an under tank heater. would that be ok? would the uth melt the tube?

Honestly I would use Flexwatt or Heat Cable on a proportional thermostat.

do they sell those at pet stores? and when you say thermostat do you mean a thermometer? i hope u guys dont take me as a person who knows nothing about reptiles. its just that i have absolutely no experience with this form of heating.

You can use an UTH. Get a digi thermometer with probe and see what the UTH gets without a thermostat then adjust accordingly.

well the heat cable and heat tape you need to have a thermostat due to it can get very hot and you can set the temps that you desire. a thermostat is just to determine what the temp is in the tank.

when you say adjust does the uth have a thing to adjust temps on it?
