window/poop

i got 2 questruions, one is i have a homemade tank and there is a window and she has been lookuing out of it for like 5 hrs now.. just likes looking at stuff or what?? usually she looks out the window but maybe only for 20 min., and another is she just pooped and its runny, her poop from like 4 days ago is normal but today it is runny and she was stepping in it.. is it because she squished it or what? it looks more runny then squished though, i will post pictures of her looking out the window maybe later, its really cute though.

If the runny poop continues i believe that is a sign of parasites?

I agree if the runny poo keeps up I would take her in for a fecal...or take the poo depending on your vet. One of ours had runny poo and it was due to pin worms.

We sometimes have geckos that will poop runny once and then it's normal. It really shows up in our females. What I think it is is when hormones are changing. In human women, before a menstrual cycle, they can become constipated or have diarhea. I know it sounds gross to all of you who don't know about that but it happens...so get over it. lol. I think the same thing happens in older gecko females. It's just a theory but that is what I've observed. They go off feeding, have lose stool once maybe twice, and then everything is normal again.

But if your female has extreme diarhea and is going for three or four defications like that, I would take her to the vet.

As for the window thing, I wouldn't want to be stuck in a cage my entire life. We have some males that look up and you can tell they are trying to make plans for escaping. lol. So, when she is looking out the window, take her out and let her have some time out of her tank.

so is diahrea like maybe a sign for breeding in a young female or is it the opposite and usually in older ones, sorry i didnt quite nunderstand you

I am just theorizing here. But I would say it's in older females that are ovulating. None of our younger ones have done it.
