I was lookin around the site and I looked at some of he site sponsor pages at the top. Living in Chicago I was drawn to look at The Windy City Gecko page. Has anyone been there and seen that they are attempting to produce a BLUE gecko? Has anyone heard of this and have any more information? If anyone has any pictures I would love to see, also.

Brian, are you from Windy City Geckos or just do their website for them? Where in Chicago are you/they located? And could you post some of the pics on here until then?

Brian said he thinks he'll have some with blue on the body next year. That's definitely something to look forward to!

Scott and or Nikki, i live in Illinois, Brian works with mostly tangs but is now working with some other morphs as well, but he is probably the one in the state to go to for tangs. Hes always at the Wheaton show, so u may see him there.

If I remember right, they hatched out a very small number of tangerines that had blue spots on their heads. As they matured the blue areas stayed and the trait was reproduced the following year. An intresting project.

For your viewing pleasure, here is a picture of the first true blue gecko ever produced. it is fairly easy. all you have to do is breed one part patternless to one part photoshop and viola! :D until someone can breed a "blue" gecko that has more than a tiny kinda blue spot on its head, i think ill pass.
