winking gecko

Well i don't know what to call it but sometimes my gecko will poke his head out from his hide and just chill there. Then his right eye will just slowly shut while his left one just says open. Both eyes seem healthy and they both easily open and close all the way. Maybe this is just one of those weird things he might do? Just want to be sure.

Edit: He also does the same thing, poke his head out and close both eyes. just sometimes he does the one.

Do you have bright lights in your room? All my albino leos do the same wink at night when my lights are on.

i do have a day bulb, but its really dimmed down.

She doesn't need a day bulb. Natural sunlight from windows in the room will be enough light.

my leopard gecko winks quite alot, leopard geckos do genrally keep one of their eyes close and the other open to watch for food, thats what i got told by many anyway.. but its nothing to worry about if im honest they do genrally pop out in the night to see whats going on.. mine do it all the time i have a photo of mine winking shes so cute.. but yeh they should be fine nothing to worry about
