I just finished my new rack, and all I need to do is wire it. I have found that for my rack, it is 112 Watts. Can anyone tell me what Gauge of wire I should use? On the site it says:

#12 wire may loaded up to 16 amperes, #16 up to 10 amps and # 18 up to 8 amps. Your particular type of wire may vary.

I cant figure out how to convert 112 Watts into amps... Can anyone help me with this?

Also, since I will be soldering the conections, does anyone know the tin/lead ratio? Thanks.

just so you have it here in print..

most solder has no lead anymore, standard solder is sufficient, it's like 95/5 tin /alloy or similar.

Standard lamp wire will also be fine, as the amperage is so low in your setup,

maybe 20 ft at 8w/foot.....160w at 110 voltage, with a dimmer inline is below 1.6 amps, any electricians out there?

hope this has helped
