I am thinking of getting a 40 gal tank and want to divide it in two. One side for the Leo we have and the other side for another Leo or something else with same care as a Leo.
Plan is to divide the tank in half and in the middle where it is didvided put the UTH and the middle will be the hot side for each side of the tank the outer sides the cool side. This way we should be able to get away with one heat source for both sides.
Going to have slate or ceramic tile on the bottom and need to make a divider out of something. Some ideas are plexy glass, glass, tile, or wood. Glass might work the best since it may visibley be transparent but thinking about wood, could I stain it with regular stain and give it a few days to air out or would the fumes still be bad for them?
