Woods to avoid?

I'll be making a 'tank rack' very soon to house two incoming reptile tanks, my leo's tank and my two fish tanks. I've heard that certain woods are to be avoided when working with reptiles. What are these woods and what are some decent, durable, not-mindmeltingly expensive alternatives?
I live in Maine, so most of our local wood supply is pine, followed by maple.

Anything that has an aroma should probably be avoided. But remember whichever you end up with to waterproof so that you can easily clean it and don't get mold (which WILL kill your gecko, odd woods the science is a bit fuzzy on).
