I have 22 veiled chameleon eggs in my care at this time! They were just laid today, and I'm still freaking out (in a good way) about it! The female veiled laid 58 eggs today. 3 were duds, so I took 22 eggs and my coworker has taken the rest. We're both so excited to have the chance to raise these beautiful creatures (she's done it before, but couldn't pass up the chance to do it again).

I'm incubating them at 79 degrees fahrenheit, and they are in deli-cups with the hatch-rite substrate.

This has got to be the most interesting experience I've ever had. I'll make sure to keep you all updated on the progress of the eggs!

Sad news:

The eggs are undercalcified. Today most of them started showing their gaps of transparency. I'll still try incubating them, but I'm fairly certain that none will be viable.

My coworker has noticed the same thing with her lot of eggs.

There isn't much we could do seeing as how the mother was not in our care at the time... But it still is a bit of a disappointment. :(

Aw poor little eggs, don't worry though maybe luck will be on your side and you'll have some healthy babies arrive :)

Hannah, I hatched a pair of leo eggs that had huge windows in them. I actually seen the baby through the egg before it pipped!

Don't give up and best of luck to you.
