Worm with crickets..

I had a family member pick me up some crickets today and bring them home. I called her and she said that there was a furry little worm that came with the crickets. The pet store workers said they breed with the crickets. I will have a pic soon. Is this worm a parasite?

Sounds like Dermestid beetle larvae, they are a common hitch hiker in cricket shipments.

Nope, they are used at many cricket farms to scavenge cricket carcasses and make cleaning easier. Nothing to worry about.

heehee we call them wollie bears at my store
bearded dragons love them but my geckos sure dont!! think they are just too small for them i guess
