I know people see sand as bad and say that leos live on more compact stuff, would this clay be ok.

tile is the best way to go.

I tried it, but the animals didn't seem to like it. They avoided touching it as much as possible, it seemed like.

Am currently in the process of cleaning and making a background for a new tank so will wait till i finished that for the tiles to be cut.

There was discussion on another forum about that Excavator stuff. Someone brought up the excellent point that it seemed like cleanup would be a hassle, and that it would potentially absorb the poos and pees and become a breeding ground for bacteria.

It's a neat idea, though.
