I know I talked ad nauseum about Repashy in another thread but I'm very concerned because of some label discrepancies~

I've read in a few places that they've changed the formula, the new one having phosphorus and other stuff. However, the packages between the two formulas seem to look the same (black label with a big yellow gecko head on it). Some websites give two different formulas under this identical label:

Here is the contents of which I believe is the newest formula:

Crude Protein min. 2%, Crude Fat min. 0.2%, Crude Fat max. 0.6%, Crude Fiber max. 1%, Moisture max. 8%, Ash max. 35%, Calcium min. 17%, Calcium max. 20%, Phosphorus min. 0.6%, Vitamin E min. 2,000 IU/lb, Vitamin D min. 20,000 IU/lb, Vitamin A min. 200,000 IU/lb. Total Carotenoids min. 500 mg/lb.

This is the content of the old formula, I believe:

Crude Protein min 12%, Crude Fat min .75%, Crude Fiber max 3%, Moisture, max 8%, Ash max 8%, Calcium min 16%, Calcium max 18%, Vitamin A 400,000IU/kg, Vitamin D-3, min 40,000 IU/kg.

Am I missing something?? Why would they change the formula but not give them different labels?

i'd guess that designing a new label could cost in the neighborhood of $10k
changing some printing on an existing label is probably a bit more reasonable than having new artwork created from scratch.

Go by Repashy's own website. Other sources of their product may not have updated the info. I'm still using the original formula so haven't looked at the new stuff yet. It's been my personal policy to buy enough for a year at the Daytona show, where I'm certain it will be available to avoid shipping.

Hi, The answer to your confusion is in your post if you look carefully. The formula for the Calcium Plus has NOT changed. First, the 12% protein is your typo and not what is on the label... second, if you look carefully, you will notice that one product is listed in IU/Kg, the other in IU/Lb. So if you do the math and round, it is the same thing. I had to change all the labels from listing ingredients by kilo, to by pound to comply with AAFCO United States Pet label requirements. Sorry about the confusion it has caused you.

Cheers, Allen
