I vacuum my house all the freakin' time.... (yea, that's important to know)... with 4 fur-kids, ya kinda have too. Ryuu [beardie] ignores the vacuum and the dorky dog chasing it around, and normally Kirin just kinda hid and ignored Max and I trying to vacuum the bedroom... but today, I don't know if it's because I was vacuuming later in the evening or what but he completely spazzed out. I heard a squeak and he took off like a shot and tried to climb the tank wall to get away. I turned it off and made sure he was ok.... I put him back in his warm hide and he was ok after that... Obviously they can be startled, but you don't think it's detrimental to their health, do you? Don't want to scare the little fella to death just trying to clean house :p

I would just say startled also. Must've woke him up out of a sound sleep. lol

A funny animal antic in our house... our umbrella cockatoo LOVES the vacuum. When we turn it on, no matter where we are in the house, you'll here, "Hellllloooooooo!". She also loves when you stick the hose onto her beak and let it suck her beak. She'll lean into it and just enjoy it. I know, she's touched.
