Zilla UTH Fail.

Does anyone use the Zilla UTH? For some dumb reason I decided to try it instead of the Zoo Med ones I usually use. Big mistake. The thing is so janky. The adhesive peels off and doesn't stick very well. I ended up having to tape it to the bottom of the tank with that wide clear tape that is used to wrap packages for mailing. So not cool. If you're looking to buy a heat mat, don't use these. :main_rolleyes:

I got a used one from a pet store that was going out of business so I figured "how bad could it be for $5?" (He had his stuck to the bottom of the 10 gallon with tape like you're using) HA I got it home, plugged it in, waited 15 minutes and it was broken, wouldnt even heat up! I figured he couldnt have had it too long so apparently they dont last long either lol Lesson learned!

i have mine taped too! I thought it was just mine!
did you get the stupid basic thing?
i heard the newer version works!
but either way does the heat cable by zoo med work?
