I'm not really sure what this is. I had taken my gecko to the vet two weeks ago cause she hadn't been eating and somehow managed to poo. I ran the fecal to them for a float, no parasites were found. But we went ahead and treated her for them anyway. Since then, she's started to eat. There was also some signs we thought were the beginning of mouth rot so my vet gave me baytril and Chlorhexidine solution which i put on a q-tip, dilute, and ...try to rub on her mouth. After the vet trip, I had to help her (gecko) take off a shed and this bump appeared. She shed the week after I got the shed off and this bump seemed to get worse.

Anyone know what could cause it or what I can use to treat it? I can take her back to the vet, I just want to know if anyone has any ideas what could be causing it first.

Is it so big that it's making her eye swollen? I would definitely talk to your vet about it and possibly take her to be seen asap. Dont worry too much, the vet can probably just drain it and it will be okay, but it'll be best if it is taken care of professionally. Good luck!

At first I didn't think it was bothering her much, and in fact, it seemed to go down until she shed this last time and it does seem to have gotten larger to the point its effecting her eye sight. A person on another site seems to think its an abscess. I just don't know if I should ask the vet to test it for something.

The vet should know what to do, if it needs to be tested for anything, etc.. did you send your vet pics via e-mail or anything?

I am sure it is an abcess that can be drained/removed without too much of a problem.

I would guess that the infection from the mouth rot migrated to it's current position. In the second head shot you provided you can see where the mouth rot was towards the back of the mouth and is in close proximity to the abscess. The vet will definitely know what to do and how to treat it. Good luck

Got back from the vet today. The bump turned out ot be a pus pocket. (oy it was nasty!) Just gotta keep the area clean and her cage clean. She lost weight from the two weeks ago.
I have no idea how old this gecko is since I got her when she was an adult. I don't know if this might be a sign of age or not. I hope she pulls through.
