Okay so I am not a breeder but I own one. No, giants are not signaled out for any health problems. But we really need pictures to be able to tell if anything is wrong. Just look for clear eyes and clean vent. Giants eat a LOT! My 1.5 month old ate 15 mealworms when I first brought her home. She doesnt eat that all the time but normally 10-15. I don't know what you mean by age, if it is a 04 isnt it 5 or 6? You can not tell excatly unless you have the birthday of the leo.

There are no known health issues associated with giants. I have a colony of giants and their care is identical to non-giants, they're simply a little bigger and eat a little more while they're growing.

If this gecko is from a reputable breeder then I'm sure it's nothing to worry about but... Many males that age are Giant sized but not genetic Giants. Giants weren't as available in 04 as they are now so I'd ask about what kind of breeding results the breeder has gotten from him. That's just me being a skeptic though! As long as he is healthy and hasn't been over bred then you should be able to breed him.
