1 UTH for 2 tanks?

I have my male in one tank and the female in a seperate tank with both tanks right next to each other and a piece of paper in between. Would it be feasable to use 1 UTH for both tanks? I've heard of this working well for others before. Any suggestions? I'm not sure how they even go about cleaning the tank. I'm assuming they used something (tinfoil perhaps?) in between the UTH and the underside of the tanks to keep the UTH from sticking. Thoughts?

I wouldn't suggest it, when they don't cost that much money that you couldn't just get another one.

I'd be worried about wear and tear on the UTH where the tanks meet.

I have heard of this being done when one tank is divided and the UTH IS placed in the middle and divider is over the middle of the UTH.

I currently uses 1 long UTH (non-stick type) per 2 glass tanks (with identical size and setup). They seem to work fine for me so far.

I also use one uth for 2 tanks
I buy the larger ones and it works out cheaper that way and I have never had a problem

Here's another idea: get the zoomed repti heat cable, tape it to a piece of plexiglass in whatever configuration you want and put the tanks on top of it. I do this for my two plastic baby cages which are side by side and it works well.

I personally cant handle reptile cable. Too messy and makes the cages harder to take away to clean. IF you're like my and throughly clean cages in the bathroom or wherever u can properly disinfect. So I use heat tape. No real tape needed. cheap, controllable, and easy. Wouldn't use anything else. Even for two cage it would only cost you about 25.00 or 30.00 w/ a small thermostat. And trust me its worth it.
