Hey guys just wondering how big your rack system tubs are and for what size leos you keep. Are 16 qt tubs big enough for adults to live in? And also are 32 qt tubs big enough for breeding?Just trying to get a good idea of stuff before I buy the stuff. Thanks.

No need for a 32q breeder tub... The 16 is plenty... You will just be housing a pair in the tub for a short period of time... A 32 is overkill in my opinion...

In my experience, they do not need more than the 15qt tubs. I recently moved my oldest female (that was in a 15qt) into a 30qt because I felt she was old, and deserved it (lol...yes I really felt that way). She literally uses less than half the tub. They are just fine with confined living spaces as long as their basic needs are met...heat, shelter, food, and water.

We use sixteen quart boxes for the most part too. We do have a male who has a 12 quart box, but it's only a little smaller, and he seems as happy as a gecko can be. Our hatchlings are kept in even smaller boxes though, until they're around 15 - 20 grams. I think they're 6 quart boxes, and I also believe the small size is better, as it's easier for them to find their food and for me to monitor feeding.

Thanks guys. I was just wondering cuz we picked up some 16 qts and 32qts already and was thinking about returning them for smaller, but i guess i will just keep them and maybe pick up some smaller ones for the hatchlings.

Honestly a 32 is wayyy too large, in my opinion. Especially with Leopard Geckos, the more space you give them the more you risk stressing them out.

well first of all a 16 quart is great for adults if your doing a rack system. 12 quarts is the minimum. im not that sure on the 32 quart thing for breeding but im sure other people here know more than me. they'll probably know.
