19 days without food. What should I do?

Spot hasn't eaten for 19 days. I'm really worried. What should I do? :main_huh: The temp on the hot side is around 90-95. On the cold side it's around 75-80. I offer him mealies every 2 days. There is a bowl of mealies inside at all times. The bowl is a jam jar lid so it's very low and Spot has no problem spotting the mealies inside. In the shop he was kept at, he was fed mealies. There is also a bowl of water and calcium inside the tank. If there was anything else you need to know please tell me.

It just takes time. well not always but for the most part it does. This happens if you buy from a breeder or if you buy from the store. I have 2 geckos right now that are not eating at all. luckly they are 90 grams and 70 grams or else i would be up a creek without a paddle.

I,like you am in the same position. Today I have taken my gecko back to the petshop as he hadnt eaten for 18 days and was starting to look thin. They told me that my temp at 93f was far too hot and that they had been keeping him at 70-75f in the shop. All the posts I have read here say that the hot side should be 90-95f so I was a bit shocked. The shop told me that if a gecko gets too hot they will not eat and become lethargic. Also, how old is he and what size tank do you have?I was told off for keeping my six week old in a 2ft viv, I have had to buy a much smaller plastic tank as they get stressed in big environments if they have been kept in a smaller enclosure at the shop,I dont know if this is any help to you,it has probably confused you even more now!My gecko will be at the shop until Monday so they can give him special vitamins etc.I hope that he starts eating soon,I know how worrying it is

The shop told me that if a gecko gets too hot they will not eat and become lethargic.

Too cold they become lethargic. They need the heat to be able to properly digest.

The pet shop is full of s**t. You're temps sound fine.

Is there anyway you can get him tested for illness? Is there a vet in your area that you can take him to?
