I've been reading and reading genetics and I think I get some of it:main_laugh: but want to check with you guys.

Currently I have a female tremper albino and a SHCTB male that I want to breed together. What do I get? Varying degrees of Hypos all 100% Het Albino?
How do I get Hypino (sp?) aka Sunglow?
Do I breed back the offspring to each other or to the original mother Tremper Albino?

Also my male is only 20g right now. What weight should he be before trying to breed him with my 4yr old female?

leo's need to be a min. of 50g to breed, And a T. albino X SHTCT= varying degree of tang and hypo poss het tremper breed the babies back together you possibly get sunglows....I think? not a genetics pro.

All the babies will be in the Tangerine department and all will be 100% het for tremper albino, breed the babies to each other and you have a small chance of producing a sunglow and both the male and female should weight at least 50g.The male you have is a SHTCTB and he is goregous.

The other way to do it is to make hets that are the opposite gender of your aqlbino and then next season to breed one of the hets back to the albino parent. I did that last season and got about 1/3 hybinos (another name for sunglows).

Your male is nice but it looks like he has MBD (Metabolic Bone Disease). Make sure he gets some extra calcium like in a small dish in his enclosure and of course on his food so that his bones can harden back up.

The MBD is in his front legs, they are curved.
Also if you want Sunglows then breed the babies back to mom. Although if you can afford it I would recommend just getting another Sunglow to breed them back to. I dont really like inbreeding, tends to lead to weak genetics and possibly deformities.

hehe sorry yeah I just noticed you already had a post about it.
Yeah I had a female leo with the same problem and her bones did harden back up over time but she will always have the curved front arms.
Once your male recovers and gets to breeding age he should be fine for breeding.
Good luck!
