Hi all,

If you have seen from my other post it looks like one of my geckos is being bullied. they are both 5 months old and in 1 10 gallon tank. If I put them both in a 20 gallon long tank will this solve the problem or do I need to put them in seperate 10 gal tanks? I dont have too much room - could I buy a 20 gallon long and put a divider in so they both have 1/2 of the 20 gallon long andthen put the UTH in the middle so they each get half? Please let me know I'd rather not have 2 seperate tanks but of course if that is the best way then I will. Is half of a 20 gallon long less room than a 10 gallon? Is that ok?

Please help THANK YOU.

A 10 gallon long gives you 200 sq. in (10x20). Half a 20 gallon long gives you 180 sq. inches (12x15) so it's about the same and that will work. Your options would be to try them together in a 20 long, divide it in half or keep 1 in the 20 long and 1 in the 10 gallon.

A 20G seperated could work. Just be aware that some leos enjoy climbing up dividers and going to the other side. we had a few leos that loved to do this, it was a pain! I would personally rather have two tanks.. but if you cant than I suggest dividing the 20G.

OK I'll try that. I've seen pleziglass dividers meat for fish that go all the way up to the top and was planning on using that. Do I need to put a backgorund on it so they can't see each other? Or is it better/does not matter if they see each other?
