Hi

I'm as green as the grass when it comes to this. I'm getting my first Gecko tomorrow. She is a 1 year old Super Hypo Carrot tail. The person who is selling it also has a 18 month old female Tremper Albino for sale. They have never been housed together.

My question is, can they/will they live together?

Thanks in advance :)

Congrats on your new gecko :) I just got mine last weekend and they are probably the best pet I have ever owned. I speak from experience as I have owned many pets in the past.

Regarding your question, I myself don't have much knowledge on this subject, but seeing that nobody has answered your question I will formulate a conclusion based on my research:

As long as the geckos aren't too big in size difference, it shouldn't be much of a problem. There is truly no benefit in keeping two female geckos together, although it can be done.

How large is your enclosure? A 36x18x12 enclosure would be recommended for two geckos, however, you could pull it off with a 24x18x12 enclosure.

Best of luck and have fun with your new gecko :)

Put them together and watch them carefully. If one doesn't eat, looks scratched up or loses weight it's likely that it's being bullied and you'll have to separate them. Have a separate enclosure prepared just in case.

Also --please pay attention to what subforum you're posting on. I will move the thread this time. Look at the choices and pick the right one, don't just post under the first subforum on the list.
