How many leos can you put comfortably in a 20 L? what about a 40?

For a 20 long, 1 ideal, 2 doable as long as you double the hides. 3 would be pushing it but possible by utilizing vertical space, such as building a 2nd floor.

I would still say two or three females max. They don't always get along and can bully one another.
If you want several geckos just spend the money on 10 gallons or a rack
