20 long for Irian Jaya BTS okay?

Would It be okay to keep an Irian Jaya Blue tongue in a 20 long?It would be taken out a lot and handled and allowed to explore.I would be starting with a baby,so it would grow into it.What do you guys think?

SInce you are getting a baby, I think that'd be fine. My foot long Fire Skink is in a 20 long & he is ok. I would love to get him a bigger tank eventually, but since he doesn't move around much, he's ok.

He'll grow into it.

If your starting with a baby it would be ok, but you would have to upgrade later on. I have a northern BTS and when I first got him he was a baby and in a 20 long. Once he hit 1 foot I upgraded to his permanent cage which is a 75 gallon and now being 20 inches long it seems like this is a good sized cage.

bluetongueskinks.net is the best I am a member (I'm xxmonitorlizardxx). A 20 gallon is ok but it needs a 40 gallon long at least when it reaches about 16 inches.
