I was wondering how fast do leopards pick up weight? I have a female that is 21.8 grams as of today. I plan on breeding her once she gets up to weight (60+ grams). But I was wondering how long to expect before she reaches her 60+ gram weight? She feeds on crickets gut loaded on Flucker's Calcium Diet. Is there anything else I can feed her to SAFELY fatten her up? I don't want to rush anything and it be unhealthy or unsafe, just wanting a bit of a time frame. Thanks for all and any advice you experienced guys on here are a great help. :main_thumbsup:

First of all how old is she? Age is about as important as weight. I wouldn't Try breeding her until about a year old. Some good ways of fattening up are pinkys (if shes big enough and from your discription she isn't) or waxworms every other week or week and a half. Any more often than that and she will become obese pretty fast.

Just let her gain weight at a normal rate and she'll be fine. Most of my geckos reach 60 grams by 8 months old.

I'm not sure how old she. I bought her at the local pet shop. I bought at the end of Dec., and she was pretty small, I'd say half of what she is now. So if I were to guess I'd say she is 3-5 months old range. So by fall she should be hitting her weight. Normal rate for me is fine but I wasn't sure what normal rate was. I just starting getting into leopard geckos so I'm learning more and more everyday, Thanks!!
