I honestly think that they would slice through it like a hot knife in butter?

I've seen water dragons kept in them the have some pretty sharp claws. Maybe I'm wrong, has anyone ever housed something in these?

those are worthless to a monitor or most species of reptiles. They dont keep in the heat and humidity that they need to thrive. Your best bet is to build a 4x2x3 (ackies),4x2x6 (tristis) cage or bigger depending on how many are going into the cage. The cages will have to be solid top, side, etc and a 125+ f basking spot plus a deep layer of dirt. Before you buy any monitor look up as much info as possible on them. Ackies and other dwarfs are the best starting monitors so your on the right start as most other species need at least a 8x4x4 or bigger. If you need any help send me a message and i can give you any help you may need. I use to keep a whole bunch of different monitors and now only have argus, so let me know

There was one with water dragons in it at a show I went to. They said they just used it for shows. It didn't look sturdy.

I kept some geckos in the same one =] 4 dead geckos... As far as the cage itself I don't think a monitor would work well in it. Mine tore just unzipping it.

Just goes to show you what people can get away with by labling it as a reptile product I guess :main_no:.

I think the cage is ok for TBH. I know nothing about monitors but I know they are stronger than my geckos I kept in mine =] The cloth is very thin and like I said mine tore putting it together(maybe I could have been more careful)

My geckos did not do well in it because I was dumb living in AZ and had almost no humidity. And keeping humidity in there is impossible.

So with that said I would only use one if your house RH is up to standard for whatever you are putting it in. I think you would be better of taking a trip to hard wear store and building one yourself. Would be cheaper and could even go bigger!
Good luck

I use reptariums for my chameleons and they are the best cage out there for chameleons. Chameleons get stressed out very easy by seeing their reflection in cages with glass and or plastic. In my opinion the best cage for chameleons and I know a bunch of people that use them for frogs and geckos. Top notch cage and company. There are planty of reptiles that dont need humidty and keeping the heat in is extremely easy with day lights and night lights.
