So I got a 29 gallon tank just laying around with nothing in it, and would like to put a lizard in it. I don't really like snakes too much so please only suggest lizards. I kinda wanna get a larger lizard, so the largest lizard that can live in this tank for it's entire life. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!:)

What do you consider a "larger lizard"? 29 gallons look large, but they have the exact same floor space as a 20 long, and most medium-lizards (to my knowledge) tend to be terrestrial.

I don't know much about them other than they're pretty cool and big but I think a Giant Gecko R. leachianus would do well in a 29 gallon. They're about 250-350 grams when full grown. They're a bit pricey though.

Only problem is that they require high humidity. Most arboreal herps require high humidity, which can be difficult to maintain in a fish tank without some tweaking.

Hmm I've been thinking about a Leopard Lizard. They seem pretty cool. But their not so popular so theirs not a lot of information about them. If anyone on here knows anything about them please tell me!

I've done a little research on them before. Found this:
"They tend to be active much of the day. I suggest enclosure dimensions that are at least 36 inches long, 24 inches wide and 28 inches tall for one lizard. Leopard lizards can leap incredibly high, so unless the 28-inch-tall terrarium has a secure lid, the lizards could easily escape. I recently measured the jumping prowess of some adults."

29 gallons are only 30" x 12" x 18". Honestly, 29 gallons look good but are pretty ineffective for reptiles. If you want something, I'd suggest just getting another enclosure that would be better for a reptile. You can usually find used ones for sale if you look around.

a crested gecko would be perfect.
Humidity would require some tweaking. Could do something like this:

Then cover part of the top until it would maintain proper humidity levels.

Well I really like that Leopard Lizard but I can't find anywhere to buy one or look at prices! If I do end up getting a new tank I have no idea where to find one. If anyone knows of a good place that sells them please let me know.

Anywhere that sells aquariums? Any of the big name pet places, any local ones, or used ones on Craigslist, eBay classifieds, local ads, etc.

Nah. If they're something you're actually interested in, read everything you can find on them and make a thread asking for people with experience with them.
