So we answered an ad on craigslist and for $100 we got two 20g terreriums and 3 geckos, two girls and a boy. One of the girls is going to our friend and we are keeping the other two. We got them home and their cages were disgusting, we had to vacum out the feces and dead crickets. There was no moist hide so two of them had their feet and tails covered in shed. BUT after 3 hours we managed to get the cages clean and the geckos shed free AND we did a photoshoot :D

What morph would you say these are? We've always dealt with mack snows for the most part so I don't know anything about the tangerines. I am pretty sure they are just SHTCT baldies but I'd like to hear what you guys think :) Also any ideas on age?

Without further ado..

This is the girl thats going to our friend, shes got gorgeous carrot tail <3 Shes 9 inches long and 48grams

This is the girl we are keeping, her new name is Eos (goddess of the dawn) She has a funky leg on her right side, the elbow joint doesn't move and its smaller than it should be. Could it have been an old injury or maybe lack of calcium as a baby, or just a birth defect? We think shes gravid. Shes 54g and 9 inches long

Then, last but not least Helios (Titan God of the Sun). Hes 60g and about 9 1/2inches long. Hes got the cutest little white feet :D
(forgive the over the sink pics but we needed the natural light because the flash made him look like he was glowing lol)

Very nice lookin crew! Definitely SHTCTB, yeah dont forget the B for baldy. I like Helios he looks like a cutie.

As far as the bent arm thing, more than likely MBD(metabolic bone disease). Essentially calcium deficiency let her bones get soft. I would make sure she has a dish of calcium for her to lick in her cage at all times especially if you think she is gravid. And keep her housed by herself.

Thanks! I didn't know if the baldy made it on the end of the already rediculously big acronym :D

I'm glad you think its MBD instead of a genetic issue since she appears to be gravid. We already put a calcium dish in with all of them.

I can't wait to get to know these guys, they threw a kink in our plans for a mostly mack snow collection, go figure :) The pictures don't do the orange justice, I didn't think I would like it as much as I do!

Love the names.. my beardies are named Helios (Leo) and Aurora (roman goddess of the dawn) Beautiful geckos though, they look decently taken care of. :D Good luck.

O I like the name Aurora! Yea they were originally, but the guy got them for a breeding project but then he lost interest in them because he wanted to breed terantuals so they didn't have any moist hide for shedding and he hadn't cleaned out the cages in forever, there were cricket bodies and body parts everywhere and the cages reeked. We have a bagless vaccum and we had to loosen up the feces and everything and vacum it out, it took up a pretty good portion of the container.

Heres a pic of one of the sides from the girls tank.

So I got an email back from their old owner today and he says that Eos should not be gravid becaue they haven't been together in several months but she definetly has eggs, but they probably wont be fertile.

Also her funky leg is a result of a break when she was younger so thats good news.
