So on the news today, the "400 pound python", Deliah.
Big surprise - F&W is keeping her! He had his permits. She was chipped. They didn't approve of her caging, so this man is having his beloved, beautiful, puppy tame baby taken away.
Shes being kept at Glades Serpentarium until she can be purchased by a zoo.

She weighed in at 301 pounds.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go kick my neighbor's useless freakin' dog out of my yard again. He keeps getting in to my trash cans and digging holes in the flower beds. :furious3:

all I can say is " OVER MY DEAD BODY would the poers to be take my animals"

My 14 foot burm male went to parks alot, as did my 4 foot blue tailed monitor, 8 foot BCI, 12 foot indian python.....

No kids ever got bit when they touched them and learned about snakes not being slimy . Ah, but I seen a brittany spaniel bite a kid once ;)

having owned burms and retics between 16 and 20 feet, I can tell you that animal was health, tame and NO WAY WAS IT 300 POUND, let alone 400 POUNDS

lmao that was the very first thing i said when i seen this story!!! i said 275, maybe 300 at MOST

let me add to this. i fully blame the owner and do believe that it was his fault, and he is who i am agains in this whole thing. i watched the interviews very closely and i believe my self to be very good at reading ppl. the sheriff that was incharge of the entire thing FLAT OUT SAID that the owner was a good man, the snake was well fed, no parisites, and no mites. but i quote the sheriff when he said..

"the only reason we took this snake is because the owner did NOT have proper caging"

new reporter - "the snake was a danger?"

sheriff- "no it just was not properly caged"

reporter - "it wasnt fed right

sheriff - "no, it just was not properly caged"

that went on 3 more times with stupid @ss questions by the reporter, and you could tell the sheriff was getting really frustratied with the reporter asking dumb questions when he said over and over that the man kept very good care of the snake it was juts the caging problem
