Hey all,

First time posting in this section. :)

I was wondering if a 41 qt tub would be an appropriate size for a young ball python? I have two that I got on sale today, so I was curious if that would be appropriate. It looks to have (or at least close to having) the floor space of a 20 gallon long, which a coworker of mine used for each of her BPs when they were young.

The above mentioned coworker of mine is doing a pastel x pastel breeding in early '09 and has offered me one of the offspring. Knowing the beauty of her snakes and their wonderful attitudes there was no way I could refuse!

Thanks ahead of time!

41 qrts sounds perfect even for big females. Depending on the floor area a 41qt has a little more room then a Vision CB70 rack I believe. And thats one of the hottest racks out there for ball python breeding.
Good luck and hope you get one of those pastels your friend is trying to produce.

So long as you're using hides, they'll work well. Mine seem much happier in a smaller space than a larger one, and I don't use hides. I haven't got any adults over 1400g though, and they kind of just lay around.
