4th clutch

Ollie just laid her 4th infertile clutch of the season --20 eggs for a grand total of 85 eggs. I'm sorry she has to go through this but I'm really glad I didn't breed her, because what would I do with 85 baby beardies (or even 50 baby beardies). I sure hope she's done now.

it would certainly make for a lot of feeding 0.0 almost 100,000 crickets a week... probably best to let her do her thing.

What are you feeding after she lays them?

I keep her on her usual feeding schedule: at least 2 dozen dusted crickets Tues, thurs and Sat and a variety of greens every day with occasional fruit. She always eats all the crickets and more or less greens according to her desires and has bounced back quickly after each clutch. It is a bit of a relief for me to get a break from the days of her frantically scurrying around, trying to dig holes in my hardwood floor and general restlessness before she's ready to lay.
