Hey everyone I got my first ever set of leo eggs a bout a week and half ago. As per instructions I waited almost two weeks before candling. Well here's the rub, one egg is nice and white, no mold, firm and not squishy, and when candled full of blood vessels. The other egg is somewhat brown, squishy, has a bit of mold(whick I just removed with a q-tip), and when I candled it, it showed a very small red area biut mostly yellow. Is it possible to have one fertile and one infertile egg in each batch and is this dud of an egg indead infertile? Also if the info helps this was my females first clutch. Thanks and help would be apreciated

Don't give up on the brown egg until it totally collaspes, since it shows some pink in it. It may be going bad and it is really tempting not to throw it out, but keep it anyways.

Sometimes in a clutch, both can be fertile, both infertile, and sometimes one fertile.

Since it is her first batch, she may not be as prolific. Sometimes, they lay both fertile, both infertile...it all depends. On some of my female's first batches, both eggs were fertile, but there were negative results.

I just had a female who had her 5th batch and both were infertile. They were yellow, never became hard, always wrinkly, never white, or leathery. Good luck on the eggs.
