So here are my two babies that hatched back in 2010. Both Hypermelanistic Mack Snow het Hypermelanistic Murphy Patternless.

Female just a few days after hatching.
picture.php

Closer shot of her, she is just a few days old in this one.
picture.php

she is now 6 months old in this one, yellow has faded a bit, white stripe showing through the black, and a whole lot more spots
picture.php

My male has a light white stripe going through his dark brown body, so the babies inherited that, but the little male inherited his fathers kinked tail.

Male just a few days after hatching.
picture.php

Head shot, just a few days old.

He is now 5 months old in this one, black is getting lighter, blue in eyes is coming out real strong, spots are appearing in the head, and more spots in the white bands, white stripe is also coming through on the black.

In this picture I have him on my half chaps, because he is getting lighter, my camera went a bit overboard on him, so I needed a dark background for him to really show what he looks like
picture.php

Here he is in my hand, btw do not worry about his belly, I had just fed him and his sister, so he had a full belly.

Love the blue eyes!!! He is awesome looking!!

I know, I live them too, and I am really glad that they came out really strong in him, and I hope that when he becomes an adult that he keeps those shocking blue eyes.

I don't want to be mean, but those geckos are really small. I would have guessed they were only a month old.

They're cute, but you shouldn't breed the males with the kinked tails.

The female is actually very large for her size, I do not have any kind of a reference to show off her size. The male on the other hand is dwarfed, his egg got shriveled up when I went away and my brother and dad forgot to take care of him and spray the container he was in, so he egg was shriveled, but he still hatched. I know kinked tails are a bad trait, but Donovon, his dad, is the only male that I have that is old enough to breed, and he has the kinked tail, and I did not notice he had a kinked tail until someone pointed it out to me, but it is a recessive trait, it only showed in my little male.

I agree with Kristi. If you didn't mention their age, I would've guessed they are no more than 2-3 weeks old. How is your set up and how much are you feeding them? If you give us more information, we may be able to find out why they aren't growing.

+1 to what everyone has said. How much do they currently weigh? And you really shouldn't breed the tail kinked gecko. That is very irresponsible breeding...

They have 10 gal tank(all my other larger tanks are occupied, but I will soon move each baby to their own separate 10 gal tank), reptile carpet, humid hide box, bowl of clean fresh water, fed twice a week in summer and once a week in winter(it is winter now) fed a mix of pin heads up to 1/2 inch, dusted with originally reptile vitamin and a mix of calcium with d3, changed it the dusting to repashy calcium plus. I only have petco where I live, so I really cannot get 5/8 or 3/4 size crickets for them. I feed them 50 in the one time winter and 30 in the two time summer.

I also do not have a scale to weight them on, so I cannot give you weight, but my male is dwarfed, and my female is a nice size for her age.

I aint no expert but in the summer AND winter all my babies/juvies eat daily if not every other day, my adults are eating atleast 3 times a week in MN weather(its below zero out right now lol so air temp is down)... Using your hand for the size(Assuming your a teenager) they are rather small. My 2 month old is around your females size if not bigger. I have a petco too and they carry most sizes(small, medium, large) all the time.

Not mine, small is more or less a mix of those, and large is fully grown, when I asked for medium, the came back with the same mix as I had said, well if you feed daily then maybe I should begin doing that, how many do you feed daily and what size are the crickets and do you dust for each feeding.

i feed as much as they can eat daily if they want.i am starting to dust them with Repashy plus.i dust everyother day.the problem with feeding real small prey is that they get tired out from hunting down a lot of small prey.Your leos are real small for their age

Well I will try to feed as often as I can, but it depends on how much money I have to spend and buy on crickets, because all the money I get I use to feed my leos. Also why is a kinked tail so unwanted in a leo?

if you want your leo to look healthy than u cant skimp on feed? feeding once a week is starving your leo.a kinked tail is considered a physical deformity

A kinked tail is a deformity, which in your case was proven to pass onto his babies ...it's HIGHLY frowned upon to breed them.

You shouldn't of bred your guys if you couldn't afford to properly care for the babies :(

No we have money to buy, I just feel a bit bad asking for the money, but I will ask when I need to feed, also my dad wants to begin breeding our own crickets to help. I did not know their dad had a kinked tail until someone pointed it out, and by then the eggs had come along and hatched, but he is old and probably will not live much longer. I really do love how these two babies look, but if breeding them and they have the trait to pass on the kinked tail, then I guess I cannot if no one will buy their offspring. I can buy a 100crickets each week to feed.
