well the 2 mommas are in a 38 gallon tank, the 2 skinnies are in a 20 gallon right now but the one that is not doing so well is going to be separated today into a ten gallon, and the 2 big males are in their own ten gallons for now. i just got 3 free 55 gallon tanks, one that i will be cleaning and dividing this weekend so the 2 big boys will each have a side larger than a ten gallon. all have natural slate floors with sand in the warm hide to snuggle in on.They look awesome! What are you housing all of them in?
Depends what kind of sand. Not calcium sand, as I just had to clear my gecko's impaction while he was living on this stuff.Dont have sand! They will get impacted, And then they will die unless you take them to a vet.
ok all sand is removed from all cages everyone is on slate only, got to hold the skinnies today! we have a male mostly yellow and one spotted female. the female is very skittish still but licked calcium off my finger.Maverick we only want whats best for the geckos, Calcium sand tends to have them licking more, Normal sand gets stuck where they eject poop ( Lol I just said eject ). Though seriously if they dont get impacted if eating it they will get prolapsed when it gets stuck. Did I also mention Sand can cling on to Bacteria and that even after you clean the poop if it gets stuck it can cause an Infection. ( Not like that is very common because more people switch to Carpet,Papertowel,Tile but because Sand is mixed around very well. All of these things can happen to you. Please switch )
